It's nearly 3 pm and I am in my office right now. I haven't managed to do any proper work since yesterday. Alhamdulillah, I got the library shelver job and I was supposed to go for the induction and the training session on Monday. But, because I had set an appointment with my supervisor earlier on the exact day and time, I rescheduled for the induction to be the next day, which happened to be yesterday. Guess what? I did remember the date but I wrongly read the time. Meanwhile, I had set another appointment with my subject librarian yesterday morning to register at the British library. Then, right after that, went to the so called 'induction' but obviously, the person in charged was already out of shift by that time since I read the time wrongly. So, went back straight away to my office to find some materials online which are not available in our library but I really so need them asap for my next task. Luckily, both items are found in one of the libraries in IC.By that time, I had to go back home to my kids since hubby was going to the airport to fetch my cousin who's here for his Msc.Sian hubby as he had to wait for the cousin for 2 hrs odd since the flight was delayed. They managed to reach the tube station at 11 pm last night. I drove to the station to pick them up since it was raining cats and dogs. Had dinner at midninght last night *and feeling guilty after that...ahaks!* and the kids, hearing all the gugu gaga downstairs, woke up and insisted to play...in the middle of the night!!!
And this morning, had to rush off to school early for the library induction, only to find out that I was to put on hold for the shelver position since the passport is held by the home office for visa renewal and they insist of seeing the passport before they can employ me.Got totally frustrated and managed to argue with them that home office mentioned that anybody's status should remain unchanged in any process of visa renewal unless it is decided otherwise.So, have to wait and see what the outcome is as the case is being decided by the HR.and hubby pulak got to show the cousin the way to his uni for registration and all, resulting amalin to miss her nursery today since both of us coudn't afford to fetch her from nursery at 11.30 am.
Tomorrow's planning is to go to IC and get all the urgent materials. So, nampaknya the whole day will be spent at IC and might drop to Oxford Street *sempat lagi tu* tgk2 apa2 yg patut...kot2 sale ke apa ke kan...hehe.
And now, gotta pen off since I've gotta rush back to cook dinner since tak sempat masak this morning. And, some more, ada the cousin pulak...TERPAKSA juga lah masak nampaknya...heh!Okay people...i'll see you when i see you.
